Management Aptitude Test MAT 2012
The first MAT exam of the year, is scheduled for Sunday, 5th February, 2012. The computer based test will start from Saturday, 11th February, 2012. If you are serious about the exam, you must be halfway through your preparation. But if you know the areas and topics which are most likely to appear for the exam, it will help you prepare in a better and systematic manner.
MAT exam consists of four sections of Language Comprehension, Mathematical Skills, Data Analysis and sufficiency, Intelligence and Critical Reasoning and Indian and Global Environment. The number of questions is 200 and the duration of the paper is 150 minutes.

AICTE is conducting the first National level Common Management Admission Test (CMAT)-2012 for facilitating institutions to select suitable students for admission in all management programmes approved by AICTE for the year 2012-13. The testing window for computer based test will be open for nine days i.e. from 20th February, 2012 to 28th February, 2012 in 61 cities. The candidates will have option of selecting date and city for appearing in the test.
The initiative has been taken to address the issue of physical, mental and financial burden being imposed on the students through a multitude of entrance examinations being followed by the institutions for admission into all Management Programmes in AICTE approved institutions and University Departments.

The courses having duration less than 2 year are not eligible.

Specific Admit Card will be generated both for the candidates opted for the Paper Based Test and for the Computer Based Test.

Admit Card would be having Candidate Name, Form No, Roll NO, Test Date, Test Time and Test Venue Address. Candidate has to strictly follow the date and time allotted to them in the case of Computer Based Test.

Candidates applied for Computer Based Test and who have been permitted to appear for the Computer Based Test; have to down load the Admit Card 7 days before the Paper Based Test date i.e., with effect from 26 November 2011 (Saturday) from AIMA website. Candidates accessing the website the earliest can choose the Date and Time of his/her choice subject to availability. Those who have not opted the date and time slot for 4-5 days; will be automatically allotted date and time slot by the system. No request for change of date and time slot can be entertained.
No separate Admit Card will be issued or dispatched.
MAT Registration Form Acknowledgement:
- All Forms received at AIMA will be scanned / validated within 3 days and the Form Numbers of such received forms will be available on website link: www.aima-ind.org/mat_receipt.aspx .
- Further, your form will be scrutinized and if found in order; it will be provisionally registered.
- MAT Registration Form received later than the due date is liable to be rejected. Neither any correspondence in this regard will be entertained nor will the fee be refunded.
