AICTE has launched the National level Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) for facilitating institutions to select suitable students for admission in all management programmes approved by AICTE since 2012-13.

  • AICTE has now decided to conduct CMAT twice a year.
  • The notification is issued to announce the schedule for conducting first Test of Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) for admission for academic year 2013-14.
  • The students will be eligible to appear in both the exam and best of the two scores will be used for admission for 2013-14.

The first MAT exam of the year, is scheduled for Sunday, 5th February, 2012. The computer based test will start from Saturday, 11th February, 2012. If you are serious about the exam, you must be halfway through your preparation. But if you know the areas and topics which are most likely to appear for the exam, it will help you prepare in a better and systematic manner.

MAT exam consists of four sections of Language Comprehension, Mathematical Skills, Data Analysis and sufficiency, Intelligence and Critical Reasoning and Indian and Global Environment. The number of questions is 200 and the duration of the paper is 150 minutes.

Pre-requisites before starting the CMAT Registration:

We suggest you have the following ready before starting the CMAT registration process

  • A Computer with good Internet connectivity so that there is no breakage of Internet during registration
  • All your qualification details as you need to enter them while registering for CMAT exam
  • A Valid e‐mail id which you will be using at least for the next 6 months. All communication will be done on this e-mail id which you will enter while registering for CMAT exam
  • A Valid mobile number as all information via sms will be sent to this number
  • A valid Credit / Debit card in case you want to pay ONLINE
  • A Printer connected to your system as you will have to PRINT a copy of CHALLAN in case you are planning to pay by CASH at the bank

About:

IBSAT is an aptitude test conducted by the ICFAI University Group, for students seeking admission into the management programs. IBSAT consists of multiple choice questions. IBSAT is for 2 hours duration and is aimed to test the applicant’s ability in quantitative techniques, data interpretation, data adequacy, vocabulary, analytical reasoning and reading comprehension.

Course Details:

Course Name: Application Modalities for MBA Program, Post Graduate Program in Management (PGPM), MBA - Financial Economics, MBA - Family Business & The Ph.D. (Full-time & Part-time) Programs.

Eligibility:

  • Graduates (any discipline) in English medium with 50% and above aggregate marks.
  • Final year students awaiting results can also apply.

Test Centers:

IBSAT will be conducted all over India. The applicants can choose any one of the test center available for IBSAT. The list of all the test centers is provided on Page 5. Please note that requests for change of test center will not be entertained under normal circumstances. In the event of not having enough seats at the requested test center, applicants will be allotted the nearest alternative center. IBSAT Office reserves the right to add or delete a few test centers depending upon the situation. The same will be intimated on the website www.ibsat.org for the benefit of applicants.

Online Admit Card:

All applicants who have applied for IBSAT are eligible to download Online Admit Cards from www.ibsat.org, using the application number and date of birth as their user name and password respectively from November 15, 2011 onwards. The online admit card will carry the name, address, roll number of the applicant, test date, timings, and details of the test center. No hard copies of Admit Cards will be sent. The admit card is not transferable. Impersonation is a punishable offence under law.

IBSAT Schedule:

  • Online Admit Cards: From November 15, 2011 onwards at www.ibsat.org  (No hard copies will be mailed)

Kerala University Common Admission Test : 2011 

University of Kerala invites applications in the prescribed format from the prospective candidates for the Kerala University Common Admission Test 2011(KU-CAT 2011) for admission to the Two Year MBA (Full time)  and MBA (Tourism-Full time) Credit and Semester System offered at Institute of Management in Kerala (IMK), Palayam campus and its extension centers for the batch of 2011-2013. The students who are appearing for their final year/final semester degree examination are also eligible to apply.

The process of admission is as follows:

The candidates are required to appear for the MBA Entrance Test of the University in the last week of April 2011 at any of the following Centres:

  • Thiruvananthapuram
  • Kollam
  • Alappuzha
  • Thrissur
  • Adoor and
  • Kannur

Eligibility for admission: 

Any student who has passed degree from any Indian Universities under the regular stream recognized by the University of Kerala and shall be in 10+2+3 pattern (or in 10+2+4). In all the cases the student should have passed the degree examination with not less than 50% marks in Part III marks (without approximation, that is 49.999% is not eligible since it is less than 50%) in BA, B.Sc, B.Com etc., and 50% marks in aggregate in case of B.Tech, B.Sc (Agri) and other 4/5 year degree courses is eligible for admission. SC/ST candidates shall be given relaxation as per university rules. 
Note:
The students who are appearing for their final year/final semester degree examination are also eligible to apply.

Reservation of Seats: 

The reservation for SC candidates is 15% and that of ST candidates it is 5%. In the case of candidates belonging to Backward classes they are eligible for 20% reservation as per G.O (M.S) No.107/08/H.Edn dated 20.09.2008 (Ezhava – 8%, Muslim – 7%, LC/SIUC-1%, OBC Christian – 1%, OBC Hindu – 3%) and in the case of candidates belonging to Forward Communities the 7.5% reservation as per G.O.(M.S)No.108/2008/H.Edn dated 20.09.2008 who have to submit copy of the B.P.L. certificate issued by the Village Officer.

Application Procedure:

  • The filled in application form should accompany the D.D. for Rs.510 in favour of “THE FINANCE OFFICER, UNIVERSITY OF KERALA” drawn from SBT payable at KUOC campus or from Cooperative banks payable at Trivandrum/ Chalan of Rs.500/- payable at University cash counter for application fee and also the copies of Income Certificate or B.P.L. Certificate and Community Certificate issued by the Competent Authority. The reservation for SC candidates is 15% and that of ST candidates it is 5%.
