(Notification) AIMA MAST Exam Test Paper February 2012

MAST-Introduction:

MAST (Management Aptitude Test and Skills Test) Conducted twice every year in February & September by AIMA (All India Management Association) is not an entrance exam but is a certification test for employment of fresh management graduates.

AIMA MAST Eligibility:

MBA/PGDM or equivalent qualification should be 2 year Full Time or 3 year Part Time or 3 year Distance Learning programme.

The courses having duration less than 2 year are not eligible.

And if you had passed the above minimum qualification before 2009 are not appear in MAST. Only those candidates who have passed on or after 2009 are eligible.

MAST Test Pattern:

MAST is a Computer Based Test (CBT), Which has following three components:

  1. Psychometric Test
  2. General Ability Test
  3. Domain Knowledge Test (i.e. for domain in which you specialized in: Finance/ HR/ IT/ International Business/ Marketing/ operations.)

Test Date: 10 September 2011 (Saturday) onwards**

Test Timing

In different Time slots at specific test venues; subject to number of candidates registering for Computer Based Test.

Test Centre City
  • Test Centre City list is provided in the bulletin. Test Venues for Paper-Based Test and Computer Based Test are different.

  • The Paper-Based Test will take place only on one day i.e., 04 September 2011 at one time slot i.e., 10.00am-12.30pm, whereas the Computer Based Test will take place from 10 September 2011 onwards in different time slots. 

  • If the number of candidates registered for Computer Based Test is limited and can be accommodated in a single day; the test will be completed on 10 September 2011 itself. 

  • If the number of candidates registered for Computer Based Test is few in a particular centre, these candidates have to appear for the Paper-Based Test on 04 September 2011 only. 

  • One candidate can appear only for one date for the September 2011 MAT.

There are five blocks consisting of four boxes each given in the Form. Fill the codes of those five institutes only where you have applied or are applying for admission.

Important Notice: Applicants are advised to check the approval/recognition status of various programs directly from the concerned Authorities/ Institutes/ Universities.

(Note: No additional fee is to be paid for filling these 5 choices.)

Admit Card
  • All provisionally registered candidates both for Paper Based and Computer Based Test can down load their Admit Card from AIMA website link: www.aima-ind.org/mat_centre.aspx 7 days before the Paper Based test date i.e., with effect from 27 August 2011 (Saturday). 

  • Specific Admit Card will be generated both for the candidates opted for the Paper Based Test and for the Computer Based Test. 

  • Admit Card would be having Candidate Name, Form No, Roll NO, Test Date, Test Time and Test Venue Address. Candidate has to strictly follow the date and time allotted to them in the case of Computer Based Test. 

  • Candidates applied for Computer Based Test and who have been permitted to appear for the Computer Based Test; have to down load the Admit Card 7 days before the Paper Based Test date i.e., with effect from 27 August 2011 (Saturday) from AIMA website. Candidates accessing the website the earliest can choose the Date and Time of his/her choice subject to availability. Those who have not opted the date and time slot for 4-5 days; will be automatically allotted date and time slot by the system. No request for change of date and time slot can be entertained.

1. Filling of MAT Registration Form Online

  • Visit the link for applying online.
  • Visit this page regularly to view updated information.
  • Obtaining of Demand Draft (Pre-Requisite):
    You have to provide certain details from the Demand Draft at the time of online registration. Therefore, you must have the Demand Draft ready before filling up the Registration Form.

    You are required to obtain a Demand Draft for Rs.1050/- drawn in favour of 'All India Management Association' payable at New Delhi , in advance.

    Application submitted without the details of the Demand Draft will not be accepted
  • Fill Online Registration Form:
    With the Demand Draft ready, you can do online registration. You are to exercise sufficient care while furnishing the details. Recheck before submitting online as no editing is possible after submission.
  • After filling the form correctly, Click the button "Proceed Next". The data filled by you will be displayed. In case you wish to change any information, click "Back to Edit Registration Form" button. If there is no change in information, click "Submit" button. Recheck before submitting online as no editing is possible after submission.
  • An auto-generated Registration Number is allotted to you on successful submission of online registration form and will appear on print version of the Registration Form.
  • Before taking the print out, save the print version of application form using ‘SAVE AS’ function in the ‘FILE’ menu of the window.
  • After taking the print out, affix your passport size photograph & put your signature in the space provided and attach the Demand Draft with the print version of application.

The Under Graduate Aptitude Test (UGAT) is conducted at national / international level for admissions to University-approved Bachelor Programs such as BBA, BCA, BHM, etc.

Eligibility:
The minimum qualification is 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board. Students appearing / appeared in 10+2 can also apply.

How To Download UGAT Admit Cards:
For downloading your admit card kindly follow the following procedure:

  1. Check link: www.aima-ind.org/ugatadmitcard.asp seven days before the test date.
  2. Access individual admit card using UGAT Registration Form Number
  3. Take the printout of the admit card from the above link. Admit card will have the roll number and test centre address.
  4. Affix on the admit card two similar photographs.
  5. Get the photographs n the admit card attested by any Gazzetted officer or Head of the Institute / College from where the candidate has graduated or graduating.
  6. Report to the test centre at least 45 minutes before the scheduled commencement of the test

The Association of Indian Management Schools (AIMS) is a national network of over 450 top management schools having as its objective the improving quality of management education in India. To assist member institutes in the selection of students for (heir postgraduate management programmes, it administers ATMA a national admission test approved by the AICTE. The test is designed to assess the candidate's ability in verbal skills, quantitative skills and analytical reasoning.

ATMA has been approved by the Ministry of Human Resource Development of the Government of India for admission on All India Basis to the MBA / PGDM and other Postgraduate Programmes like MCA.

The first test was conducted on Sunday, February 20, 2000. and then on January 21, 2001, May 20, 2001, February 10, 2002, February 9, 2003, February 8, 2004, May 23, 2004, February 6, 2005, February 12, 2006, February 11, 2007 and February 10, 2008. The next ATMA, the twelveth in the series will be held on Sunday February 14, 2010.

Management Aptitude Test (MAT) is an entrance exam conducted by All India Management Association(AIMA) for admission to the post graduate management courses throughout various management institutes in the country. Through MAT management aspirants can get admission to a very large number of management institutes throughout the country therefore MAT is very popular among the management aspirants. One can say MAT is to post graduate management courses as AIEEE is to undergraduate engineering courses.

MAT is conducted four times a year. Next MAT entrance is in September 2009 whose scores will be valid throughout the management institutes for admission in 2010. Earlier MAT was a paper based test but from next time the candidates will have an option to either give MAT as a paper based test or an online test.
