Profile - MGMT – Trade Finance Operations

 

Purpose

  • Head the Trade Finance Operations for the bank. Support & Compliment the business & product teams through

  • optimum operations deliverables in terms of speed, accuracy & quick process implementation for new product offerings.

  • Implementation of a framework to ensure a high productivity with measurable quality benchmarks would also be one of the focus areas

  • Manage & Lead from the front & ability to motivate a large centralized back office team of processing staff.

Respective Product Teams, Business Teams, Audit & Fincon, Senior Management,

 

 

Minimum Education & Relevant Experience:

Requirements

  • Management graduate with sound Banking knowledge with hands on experience & exposure to wholesale banking operations, in a high volume & centralized operations.

  • Minimum of 8 to 10 years of operations experience, with atleast 3 to 4 years of heading & managing Trade Finance related areas.

 

Specific Knowledge :

 

Trade

  • Finance Product & Operations workflows

  • In-depth knowledge of Exchange

  • Control regulations and Banking Regulations

  • ISO awareness/understan ding

  • Experience in using banking software packages and SWIFT Interface

Areas of

  • Manage the Centralised Trade Finance operations shop for the bank Responsibility

  • Support the product management team to ensure a highly efficient shop floor.

  • Day to Day handling of a process driven Trade Finance back office to handle high volumes, zero defect operations with quality & cost being the prime drivers.

  • Ensure compliance & control aspects in the entire process & review of the same on an ongoing basis

  • Efficient handling of Correspondent Bank arrangements

  • Implement process improvement measures identified by the core team in a time bound manner

  • Evaluating branch performance and monitoring of various internal and Suspense accounts and document exceptions.

  • Handling of all Regulatory returns and RBI Audit/ Query.
