Opening for General Manager-Commercial in a leading mining company

Our client is a fast emerging group in mining and has strong financial relationships and excellent track record with major financial institutions and banks. It is the First company to use eco-friendly Surface Miners. The group companies own the largest fleet of 18 surface miners. Below mentioned are the details of the opportunity open at their end.

General Manager - Commercial

Our client is looking for a General Manager (Commercial) to join our Commercial team. He/she will have responsibility to look at project evaluation and bidding. He/she should have substantial experience in a similar capacity in the infrastructure sector with preference for coal/mining/ power sector. He/she should have worked in a mid sized or large organization in a similar role.

Job Responsibilities and Experience Requirements:

• Understanding concession agreements and other related legal/commercial documents

• Financial modeling

• Financial closure of projects

• Negotiations and joint working with consortium partners

• Liaison with government bodies/ other existing clients

• Obligation to report to higher management

• Project Management during development stage (pre-start of operations)

Personal Competencies

• Confident and motivated individual

• High order of analytical skills, planning and meeting deadlines is a pre-requisite

• Excellent communication & presentation skills

• Focus and ability to maintain composure, stay calm under pressure.

• Resilience & perseverance

Age, Experience, Education & Preferred Background

• Age 30 - 35 years

• Around 8 to 10 years of relevant experience

• Should have worked with a mid to large, infrastructure with coal/mining/ power sector preferred company

• Should be in current role for atleast 2-3 years

• CA/ MBA Finance (Any additional relevant qualification is an added advantage).

Organizational Position

Depending on experience & seniority, selected person will be typically placed as a General Manager level with commensurate compensation that will include benefits such as: Retrial, Accident Insurance, Mediclaim, Life Cover Insurance, Car Benefit, Bonus etc.

Position would be based in Gurgaon, wherein the entire company offices are located.
