COMMON MANAGEMENT ADMISSION TEST (CMAT)
AICTE is conducting the first National level Common Management Admission Test (CMAT)-2012 for facilitating institutions to select suitable students for admission in all management programmes approved by AICTE for the year 2012-13. The testing window for computer based test will be open for nine days i.e. from 20th February, 2012 to 28th February, 2012 in 61 cities. The candidates will have option of selecting date and city for appearing in the test.

Pattern of examination for CMAT:

There shall be negative marking for wrong answers, for each wrong answer 1 mark shall be deducted Duration of exam will be 180 minutes A Trial test will be available from 12th Dec onwards for the candidates to have a feel of the online test and navigation functionality. Candidates are advised to go though them carefully to familiarize themselves with the screens, layout, and navigation.
At the test venue, each candidate will be seated at a desk with a computer
terminal and he/she will be provided with a scratch paper for calculations.
After the test, candidate must leave the scratch paper at the desk. Rough work
cannot be done on any other paper/sheet, as nothing will be allowed inside the
testing room. No breaks will be given during the test.
