Applications have been invited by Goa Institute of Management, Goa for admission to Post Graduate Diploma in Management for the Academic Year 2012-14.
Qualification: Minimum 50% aggregate marks in a three-year Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) recognized by the Association of Indian Universities/AICTE. Candidates who will complete all requirements for the degree by 16th June 2012 may also apply. If an applicant does not complete all the requirements of his degree by 16th June 2012, or does not obtain 50% aggregate marks in his degree, the offer of admission made to him will stand cancelled. The total number of seats is 240. The qualifying cutoff for each year is determined on the basis of the scores of the applicants to the Institute, in the entrance test in that year. For admission to the post graduate programme in business management 2012-2014, only those candidates who register for the XLRI Admissions Test (XAT) 2012 of Xavier Labour Relations Institute, Jamshedpur (XLRI) which will be held on 8th January 2012 may apply for admission to GIM.

Course Name: Fellow Program in Management (FPM)
Applicants for the FPM should:
A Master's degree or its equivalent in any discipline with at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST candidates) with the Bachelor's degree/ equivalent qualification with at least 60 % marks (55% for SC/ST candidates) obtained after a minimum of three years of education after completing higher secondary education (10+2) or equivalent, OR
a professional qualification like CA, ICWA or CS with at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST candidates) OR
BE/B.Tech degree or its equivalent with at least 60% marks (50% for SC/ST candidates) and 2 years of relevant work experience are eligible to apply.
The applicant must hold a Bachelors/Masters degree of any of the universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an act of parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under section 3 of UGC act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India, or possess an equivalent qualification from an institution approved by AICTE. Non-fulfillment of these conditions will automatically result in cancellation of the admission.
FPM candidates have to submit GMAT/GRE/GATE/UGC JRF (research) results taken during the year January 2010 and December 2011. Those who have done their PGP from XLRI, any IIM, MDI Gurgaon, FMS Delhi or XIM Bhubaneswar, with a CQPI of at least 6.00/8.00 or equivalent will also be exempted from appearing in the XAT.

Course Name: Executive FPM (Exec-FPM)
Exec. FPM students will complete 12 courses in 5 campus visits of 20 days duration each spread over a period of 2 years. Besides the campus visits of 20 days duration each, at least 3-5 additional campus visits will normally be needed. These visits are meant for comprehensive examination, defense of the thesis proposal and final thesis defense. On successful completion of all the requirements of the Programme, a student will be awarded the title 'Fellow in Management of XLRI'.

CAT Test Day Procedures
Helpful tips for a smooth experience
Taking the CAT 2011:
Prior to the commencement of the actual test, there will be a 15‐minute tutorial that candidates are advised to go through. All candidates will be provided with scratch paper, pencils and an eraser for use during the test. After reading and accepting the non-disclosure agreement, the test will begin. All candidates will first be presented with the section on Quantitative Ability (QA) & Data Interpretation (DI). A countdown timer set at 1 hour 10 minutes (i.e. 70 minutes) will appear on the top-right corner of every screen.
Candidates can navigate within this section using the “Next”, ‘Previous” and “Review” buttons. Since the two sections are separately timed, test takers can focus all their energies on one section at a time. Once the time ends for the first section, candidates will no longer be able to go back to it. The second section on Verbal Ability (VA) and Logical Reasoning (LR), will then begin, with a fresh timer counting down once again from 1 hour 10 minutes. Security is taken very seriously at Prometric.

All provisionally registered candidates both for Paper Based and Computer Based Test can down load their Admit Card from AIMA website link: www.aima-ind.org/mat_centre.aspx 7 days before the Paper Based test date i.e., with effect from 26 November 2011 (Saturday).
Specific Admit Card will be generated both for the candidates opted for the Paper Based Test and for the Computer Based Test.
Admit Card would be having Candidate Name, Form No, Roll NO, Test Date, Test Time and Test Venue Address. Candidate has to strictly follow the date and time allotted to them in the case of Computer Based Test.
Candidates applied for Computer Based Test and who have been permitted to appear for the Computer Based Test; have to down load the Admit Card 7 days before the Paper Based Test date i.e., with effect from 26 November 2011 (Saturday) from AIMA website. Candidates accessing the website the earliest can choose the Date and Time of his/her choice subject to availability. Those who have not opted the date and time slot for 4-5 days; will be automatically allotted date and time slot by the system. No request for change of date and time slot can be entertained.
No separate Admit Card will be issued or dispatched.
MAT Registration Form Acknowledgement:
- All Forms received at AIMA will be scanned / validated within 3 days and the Form Numbers of such received forms will be available on website link: www.aima-ind.org/mat_receipt.aspx .
- Further, your form will be scrutinized and if found in order; it will be provisionally registered.
- MAT Registration Form received later than the due date is liable to be rejected. Neither any correspondence in this regard will be entertained nor will the fee be refunded.
