AMA in collaboration with IGNOU will be introducing the Post Graduate Diploma in School Leadership and Management for the benefit of teachers and professionals in the field of education in Gujarat.

A joint Committee of AMA and IGNOU will periodically review the progress and modalities for delivery of the programme.

Details of the programme:
Objectives:
The objectives of the programme are as follows:
i) To develop essential skills, competencies and values needed for effective school leadership and management.
ii) To enable head teachers/principals to create an effective and enabling environment
iii) To improve the overall performance of the school
iv) To develop a trained and competent cadre of head teachers/principals

Eligibility: Graduate in any discipline - Schools / institutions may sponsor candidates

Medium of Instruction: English
Instruction details: Distance Mode
Duration of the Programme: Minimum 1 year; Maximum 2 years
Total Credits: 30

Target Group:
- Prospective and inservice School Leaders
- Those already responsible for management of schools
- All those aspring to be school heads/ principals in near future.

AMA will provide necessary Counselling facilities on a regular basis and also function as Information Centre and Exams Centre. Application forms for July admission available at AMA.

Last date for application 30th June 2009. Fee for application Rs.100/-
Course fee (Revised) Rs.4200/-.
Seven (7) Counselling Sessions at AMA on Sundays. Schedule will be given on admission.
