It  is  proposed  to  fill  up  the  temporary  and  time  bound  positions of   Senior Research Fellow (SRF) Project Assistant, Field Assistant & Contractual Staff on contractual basis under the following projects. The eligible and desirous candidates fulfilling all the requirements are invited to appear before the Selection Committee for interview.

VPKAS invites applications for the following posts:

Research Associate (RA)

Pay Scale: Rs. 16,000/- + HRA per month for Master Degree. Rs. 17,000/- + HRA per month for Ph.D. holders.
Age: Max 40 years for men and 45 years for women as on the date of interview.
Qualification: Master Degree in Agriculture/Botany or allied subjects, or MBA (with two years of research experience in the relevant areas of work) or Ph.D. in the subjects.
Desirable: Diploma/degree in IP Management, knowledge of IPRS/ Patents and good working experience on Computer typing / Internet search/ Software applications.

Senior Research Fellow (SRF)

Pay Scale: Rs. 12,000/- + HRA per month
Age: Max 35 years for men and 40 years for women as on the date of interview.
Qualification:M. Sc/ M. Sc (Ag) in Biotechnology/ Plant Breeding/ Plant Physiology with experience in plant molecular biology.
Desirable:Experience and knowledge of molecular biology techniques used in allele mining, transformation and cloning

Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

Pay Scale: Rs. 12,000/- + HRA per month
Age: Max 30 years for men and 35 years for women as on the date of interview.
Qualification: M. Sc/ M. Sc (Ag) in Biotechnology/ Plant Breeding/ Plant Pathology with experience in plant molecular biology.
Desirable:Experience and knowledge of molecular biology techniques used in gene mapping , MAS, transformation and cloning

Terms and Conditions:

• The posts are purely temporary on contractual basis and co-terminus with the project.
• The applicants must bring their bio-data (affixed with recent passport size photograph) along with original and photocopies of mark sheets and certificates of all examinations passed.
• No T.A. will be paid to the candidates for attending the interview.
• The selection of candidate's doesn’t entail on them any right for absorption/ regularization at VPKAS (ICAR), Almora or any other sister concern including ICAR Headquarter.
•  The Director’s decision will be final and binding in all respects.
