• Admission to MBA/MCA degree courses 2010

Applications are invited from recognized degree holders for admission to MBA/MCA degree courses offered in government, government aided engineering and arts and science colleges and for the seats surrendered by the self-financing engineering and arts and science colleges under the purview of Directorate of Technical Education, Chennai-600025 and Directorate of Collegiate Education, Chennai-600006 including standalone institutions for the academic year 2010-11.

Candidates are required to apply separately for MBA and MCA degree courses:

• Issue of application: 07.06.2010 to 29.06.2010
• Last date for receipt of filled in application: 30.06.2010, 5.00 p.m.

The filled in application along with enclosures should be sent to the Secretary, Tamilnadu MBA/MCA admissions-2010, govt college of technology, Coimbatore-641013

Qualifications:

MBA: A pass in any recognized Bachelor’s degree (in any discipline) of minimum 3 years duration with 10+2+3/4 years pattern (i.e. 10th std + HSC + 3 years of 4 years degree programme) or a pass in any recognized Bachelor’s degree (in any discipline) of minimum 3 years duration with 10+3 (Diploma) + 3 years pattern (i.e. 10th std + 3 years diploma + 3 years degree programme)

MCA: A pass in any recognized Bachelor’s degree (in any discipline) of minimum 3 years duration with 10+2+3/4 years pattern with core mathematics or business mathematics at +2 level or with Mathematics/Statistics as one of the subjects at the degree level (i.e. 10th std + HSC + 3 years or 4 years degree programme) or a pass in any recognized Bachelor’s degree (in any discipline) of minimum 3 years duration with 10+3 (Diploma) + 3 years pattern with mathematics at diploma level or with Mathematics/ Statistics as one of the subjects at the degree level (i.e. 10th std + 3 years diploma + 3 years degree programme).

Entrance examination: Candidates should have appeared for TANCET 2010 examination conducted by Anna University, Chennai-600025

Attested Xerox copy of SCA/SC/ST community certificate should be produced for receiving application.

Application form can also be obtained by post from the secretary, Tamilnadu MBA/MCA admissions 2010, govt college of technology, Coimbatore-631013 by sending a separate self-addressed envelope of size 35 x 30 cms duly affixing stamp to the value of Rs 50/- along with a demand draft as mentioned above towards cost of application with a requisition letter

Limited quality of printed booklets containing information about colleges are available in the application sale centres. The booklet can be obtained in person on payment of Rs 75/- by cash
